Goalkeepers: Mickaël Landrea, Hugo Lloris, Steve Mandanda

Midfielders: Yohan Cabaye, Clément Grenier, Blaise Matuidi, Rio Mavuba, Paul Pogba, Moussa Sissoko, Mathieu Valbuena

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, Loic Rémy, Franck Ribéry

nasri, clichy and abidal didn't even make it. can't see how the two LB's didn't make it, sakho should be nowhere near it, but that is a squad full of quality. they could very well win it.
They have the quality. It's up to them to play as a team.

Ivory Coast for me.

I feel like they might be the RS of the World Cup, i.e. pish defence but score more than they concede.

Belgium (they're ace, albeit given a pish easy qual group)
Chile (possibly second behind Spain as I think Holland will struggle against them)
Colombia (because they're boss and they'll have extra energy after taking some c.... offee before every game)

Also, Liverpool might be in with a shout - 16% of their fans believe that Liverpool can lift the world cup

Pffffttt. Like only 1 of 7 Liverpool fans think they'll win it.

...I backed Chile @ 50-1 before they came and beat England at Wembley some 12 months ago. I'm surprised they are still about the same price although they are in a tough group and rarely finish games with 11 on the pitch.

I fancy chile to do well even though they got tough group I think they will get through and the Dutch will go out

I got Columbia in work sweep stake. Blow this morning reading falcao hasn't made it!

Only need them to make the quarters to get some cash back!

The TAB (betting agency in NZ) has a $5,000,000 comp going. No money needed but you need to get every result right (W,L or D)...so well nigh impossible. For what it's worth, I have Argentina winning, Brazil second, Spain third and Germany 4th.

There are 7.98 x 10^22 possible combinations in the group stage alone. In other words, if you were able to fill out 10,000 entries per second, and you started filling out entries when the earth was first formed (4.9 billion years ago), you still wouldn't be assured of winning.

Not sure if you could class them as a dark horse, but I think Portugal will go close. If they get a result against Germany in their first game, it is all set for a Brazil - Portugal semi final, and I wouldn't discount them in that game
