This is quite an eye opener - Crewe were known as the peedo club apparently.

Worth a read, if only to see how open the depravity was and how many people knew and did nothing. No criminal accusations toward Gradi it must be said but read and make up your own mind on him.

It's an upsetting read - Gradi's statement (and behaviour, really) is a joke on the face of it but there must be a mountain of ongoing legal action, he probably can't just come out and start giving full and frank interviews at this point in time. It's very hard to see him in a good light here but time will tell.

The 70s seemed a bit of a weird time like? Like child predators were laughed off, common knowledge but a nettle no one wanted to grasp - a Barry Bennell figure would be set on fire nowadays.

Spot on , What’s amazing now is that it’s stuff that seemed openly spoken about , quite a few scousers were at Crewe over the years and it’s certainly gossip I heard particularly as the article mentions when Gradi never got a bigger job . In context though I look back to my youth and schooldays and it just seemed to be something that they got away with , I think if teachers and coaches would be arrested in 2 seconds now .

All what I’ve said above and my thoughts are clear on it I can also understand it’s probably tough for him to say anything given his brief will be almost certainly telling him to shut it .
