Player Valuation: £1m
Anyone else hear about this? Former PSV man under Hiddink, Man City, & most recently Rangers.

Interesting idea on a free. Would be solid cover on wing, still has plenty of pace. Injuries have hurt him the last few years but as a 3 time WC vet w/ some impressive CL experience, & still only 28, could do much worse. Came up through the national team residency academy w/ Landon, has always had great chemistry playing alongside him.

Thoughts??

I think we had him on trial before Citeh signed him didn't we. I think Moyes likes him so on a free he could do a job.

I wouldn't mind him as a squad player on a free. The benefit would be he's an experienced pro who probably wouldn't gripe if he wasn't playing every game -- which is what he was for the U.S. World Cup team.
In his prime, he was a pesky, speedy winger who covered a lot of ground and helped out defensively. Haven't seen him play enough recently for club or country to know if that's still the case. He's not a particularly great offensive winger, but he's had his moments. I think he'd be useful as a a squad player. Not nearly good enough to be considered a regular starter for Everton, though.

Left or right footed?

Left or right footed?

Left. Nice left foot, not much of a right. Although when paired opposite Donovan they like to switch back forth, cutting inside & what not.

For me, good cover, solid pro, would be decent squad player on a free. Especially if Pienaar left. Great late game injection of pace, link player who can deliver some nice balls from left side. Against Holland in our pre-WC friendly he was our best player imo. Which makes me believe he's still got something left to give in the right environment.

He's played almost exclusively on the left for the U.S. but I think he may have played on the right wing at times for Rangers. He also has filled in at left back for the U.S., though not very effectively as far as I'm concerned.
He was REALLY bad in the Confederations Cup last summer but looked better in the pre-World Cup friendlies.
I agree with jdeezy, could be effective as a bit player. But he's definitely not the wide midfielder everyone is crying out for. Strictly a squad player.
