Just seen details of this on the news.

The guy had obvious mental health issues.

Tazered for 33 seconds!

Then kicked in the head several times as he lay on the ground motionless by a male PC.

Also clubbed more than once with a truncheon by a female PC as he lay on the ground.

If the above is proven to be true, and there are apparently witnesses to testify to the fact, then it just beggars belief what was done to the poor guy...

I've maybe just seen the same news report as you, but it's appalling.

....probably best to hear all the evidence & comment after the verdict.

So, by your logic, one cannot comment about what has already been mentioned in court (i.e. the charges laid against the two Police officers)?

Strange...

....the reporting is bound to provoke thoughts but it’s generally not the done thing to discuss evidence on forums and social media. The judge has probably told jurors not avoid internet and base their decision after hearing all the evidence.

I recall we avoided discussion during the evidence sessions of the Hillsborough Enquiry. In the past, I’ve checked with Mods.

I’m sure there’s no harm being done in this instant, but evidence can be strong and views can change throughout a case.

What? Are you serious? These are the actual charges laid against the Police officers, NOT evidence. And they shouldn't be mentioned or discussed? Charges and evidence are two completely different things. Or does that simple differentiation pass you by completely?

I don't know what the exact term is for this kind of modern thinking, but jeez...

...I think the term is Sub judice. I don’t think it’s modern thinking, it’s been around for a while.
