mawders

Player Valuation: £35m
wouldn't it be great if the prodigal son took the sh1te down, a-la Shearer and Newcastle.....that would shut them up!

would love it lad but can't see it unfortunately.

they're just too ****in' spawny to go down.

plus i'm sure there's a rule somewhere in the FA's rulebook that would entitle them to join a 21 team Premier League next season

To be honest I think I would miss the banter if the RS wern't in our league, love them to hang around the bottom while we push at the top.

Though if they went down it would be funny.

Aye, the "point and laugh at Kopite mates" aspect of it for the month or so after they went down would lose it's allure eventually.

Saying that, they'd utterly love us to go down.

To be fair, on recent form its not impossible, and looking at their fixtures they have a few games against teams who are going to be fighting for something (be it the title, survival or just the european competitions). They will feel like they playing to consolidate their position in the league, so may take their eye off the ball and run into a few shock results and slip a few places in the league.

Heart down by a point on the last day of the season.
Head probably finish around 10th.

I think its more than possible they'll go down at the moment there in utter tailspin and i just cant see it stopping

I could see the 18th place squad having 38 pts and they are in the UEFA cup. So its a possiblity. Roy was going nuts but he would have kept them midtable and they would have had a good cup run. There are some decent clubs in the bottom 10.

Villa, even more than the RS I just can't see them being relegated. Fulham and Brum don't lose many matches they are staying up. WH is playing decent now but they are probably too deep in the crapper. I think if West Brom, Wigan and Wolves start playing well they are in a serious relegation fight.

Then again they sit on the same amount of pts as we do so we can't get too comfortable either.

Surely it would be unprecedented if a team with four players in the squads for the preceding summers world cup final were relegated? two of them would have actually played in the world cup final less than a year before relegation (if it happened.) I can't see it, no matter how much I want it to happen.

Still I guess when King Kenny spoke to the bosses a while back about replacements they were expecting to go shopping in George Henry Lee's not Harrod's

Damn expensive these foreign imports ya' all know!

I can't see it to be honest, I can't see them getting fewer than 13 points from their 17 remaining games. They've only lost twice at home this season (soon to be thrice) and have 8 or 9 home games left. I can't see Wolves, Wigan and Villa all outscoring them by 4+ points in the second half of the season.

Next year might be a different story though. There will be an exodus in the summer, and yes this will generate transfer funds, but how well will they be spent? If they bring in a few more Maxi Rodriguez's, and Henry keeps focussing on "youth policy" as he has said, then it could be a long struggle for them.
