Sure. They're top of the Portuguese league on goal difference, and through to the last 16 of the Champions league and they come up with a wizard wheeze to make money by sending their best player to another cash strapped team that isn't competing for any silverware and the player himself is well up for it.

I mean I don't blame journalists for writing this kind of fantasy - they're paid to write what they're told to write. I don't even blame editors for demanding that they write it - they're paid to ensure people buy the paper.
It's the sad f*cks that pay money to read it that should be put to death.

Hilarious. Cant stand the 'daily hate' and all their propagandising such lying [Poor language removed] remind me of a certain other lying [Poor language removed] not a million miles away.

I [Poor language removed] said that this would pop up again. Can't remember what thread I put it in but I did mention it....predictable

It is without doubt the most right wing rag in general circulation. It also contains the most negative news in the land. Seriously, flick through it some time there is never a positive headline in it - you just wonder who really wants to be informed in this manner.

But it probaly is the most reliable rumour source in the media which is not really a hard thing to achieve but true.

Na I remember seeing a study that some university had done, maybe it'd been posted on here. The Guardian were the most reliable for transfer rumours and even they only had a 30% success rate.

I think that if reporters print things that turn out to be complete bolloxs, they should be fined, say £5000 for every story they print. This would put an end to lazy storys like this.

May not be relevant to us but Moutinho was quoted widely in the Portuguese press on 8th Jan saying something like although he's committed for as long as he is at sporting "now the transfer window is open we will see what happens". Sorry don't know how to post a link but its on abola oline.
