Elevator music was a good description i think. There's a few good tunes but honestly it's not a patch on Discovery, and the lead single isn't as good as any of the big tracks from that album.

Really liking it, although I've liked a lot of bad albums from the first couple of listens, so lets see

Just read that the singer for "One more time" died the other day though. Sad times
 
Given it a few plays now. It's alright. Don't get how people don't like Get Lucky, it's so funky.
 


This description of the album from another forum made me laugh

Basically the new Daft Punk album is to funk/lounge music what a Puretone or Pendulum album is to underground dance music

It's just a surface-level pastiche made to appeal to idiots ... This album's just a joke on the listener - there are tens of thousands of albums exactly like this (nondescript, tuneless, vague, Jazzy background music for wine bars - elevator music) which never sell a single copy ... I wouldn't even be surprised if they came out and admitted it was a joke ... You're basically listening to a load of Roland home arranger keyboard demos that don't go anywhere ... It's basically a Bieber album for estate agents
