Says there that he had searched to see how hot it would be for his son to be in the car and survive...

Sounds like he was trying to kill him....BUT

Then it says he pulled into a supermarket and was frantically trying to revive the kid...

Could be that the guy is mentally ill....I mean how to even think of doing this?

The emergency services said the smell was unreal when they turned up, he had driven around for a bit before "noticing" and he had also returned to the car numerous times throughout the day.

The really worrying thing was the mother turning up at day care to pick him up and when told he was not brought in replied with " My husband must have left him in the car " apparently said with no panic or emotion.

He may be mentally ill yes

That was my first thought when I saw the headline

Doesn't justify it but it would help to somehow explain how anyone could do such a thing to their own child

As a dad (@bluemangroup I actually am one, immaculate conception of course.) it's sickening to read this. He doesn't deserve death, he should be made to live in misery for the rest of his sorry life.

As others have said, if you're willing to kill your child for a pathetic sum of life insurance, you're probably not going to be too sorry.
