My dad died in 1975. Father's Day didn't exist then . If it had done he would have received pipe cleaners which is what he got from me every birthday, except one in the late sixties when I bought him some leopardskin mini-briefs in the King's Road.
Clearing out his effects after he died, I found said briefs in a corner of a bottom drawer - still in the bag.
