I had a curry last night, a vindaloo, and my god it was HOT. Just moved house and wanted to sample what the new curry house had to offer. Well I wasn't let down. Hottest vindaloo ever!

So my question is, what's your favourite curry and from where? Have you had any really bad experience? Ie the burning ring of fire!

I had a curry in Katmandu that was out of this world but in England it was one by the train station in Leicester (would put the name but was drunk and can't remember)

Im pretty much your average curry eater. If I have been out on the tiles beating women off with a stick which is usually the case* and am a little bit...tipsy, then I go all 'ten men' and have a Vinaloo and pretend to enjoy it while on the inside I am dying with burning pains and regretting the fact that my piss will burn for a week. If I am sobar and fancy a curry ill nip down to Rainhill and visit the chaps at the Blue Mango and have a nice Madras, thats my limit. If I am cooking at home its something on the lines of a Masala.

Statements marked with a * are total and utter bollocks.

Wife and I went to a local Nepalese Restaurant last Saturday, excellent curry one of the best I've had for a long time. Nice night out. We signed the guest book and noticed there was a few people from Skem in there earlier which made us smile, small world.

I'm a big curry fan myself, it used to be just a Madras but in the last few months i always ask for a Vindaloo.
Add some chips, onion bahjis [sp] and some nann bread to it and it's a satisfying end to a night out.

There are a couple of good curry houses and take-aways in my hometown which is just as well as i'f gone off 'Chinesse' and Kebabs at the moment!

A good Jalfrezi is my fave....Chilli Naan Bread , n that Mint yoghurt.(y)

Plenty of curry houses round here , but Brum must have the best along with Leicester. In my experience anyways

I'll put a few of my favourite's down as i sample most...

Rezalla (thats my fav)
Shashlik naga mix meat
Vindaloo
Nagarji
Rogan
Cylon
chilli massala

And everything has to be with Lamb Tikka.......

MMMmmmmm need curry now!!!

Agreed, this has well made me want one. In England, as others have said, the midlands are by far the best for curries I've found. My favourite is Tandoori chicken with separate sauce of choice.

I liked my curry so much yesterday, I made one tonight! Beef curry with apple and sultanas. It was georgeous. Think i will have to cut back though as my guts will not thank me if I have anymore in the nest few days. The midlands are the best, although I live in Lincoln (kinda midlands) and its nothing here. Got mates in Leicester and Manchester and always go for a Ruby when we are together.
