Crunch time relegation battle

On my way back, finished 0-0. Not bad, especially given the other results all going our way. RBC lost 7-0 against Waalwijk and the opponents of both Almere and Rbc have also something to play for. On top of that, it looks increasingly likely that RBC loses his pro-licence at any given moment because of heavy financial problems.

Not safe yet by any means, but it could be looking a lot worse.

I have decided I'm going to try to go to a game there next season if things go ok for them this year. We should have a major GOT meet up over there.

If you're really serious about that, try to come over for the game against MVV Maastricht. It's our derby and the two most important games of the season. Tickets can be sorted, no problem. So that's you and Cena wanting to come over, who's next?

good luck, keep us up to date

Update for the soap opera that is the Dutch first Division: As expected RBC Roosendaal were punished by the Dutch FA today, for failing to live up to their requirements. However, they were deducted only 3 points instead of the four everyone was expecting, so they are now the bottom team, 3 points behind us.

On top of that, totally out of the blue, no one was really expecting that one, they also decided to deduct 3 points from Dordrecht, the opponent of Roosendaal on Friday. That means Dordrecht are now all but out of the running for a play-off place, meaning that Den Bosch, the opponent of our other relegation rival Almere City, don't really have something to play for. So what looked to become a positive Wednesday for us, suddenly turned into something of a worst case scenario, as we face the only team that has something to play for.

Dordrecht have since decided to sue the Dutch FA over the point deduction and will learn their fate on friday.

Well, guess that's something that Fortuna have in common with Everton. We'll never do things the easy way.:dodgy:

Finally feeling fit enough to post. Got completely hammered yesterday and don't remember much from the events after the match, but we're staying up, for probably another season of crap football and terrible results. As always, the players let us down (1-0 down within 15 minutes, lost 2-1) and it was that only Almere lost to Den Bosch thus preserving our league status.

Made up for you mate. It's the being crap that counts. Sack that success stuff, it's over rated.
