Crouch 4 rodwell swap

For years, Rodwell has been thought of as a future DC by the club (or that's what we're led to believe) but has never played there (in senior games at least)

The club presumably must now believe that isn't his best position, because you'd think he'd need at the very least, a couple of seasons worth of experience of playing at DC to get up to speed?

Whilst I'm not going to pretend I know the extent of Barkley's talents after seeing only a handful of pre-season games, I think that's an audacious claim, mate.

Yeah I know, but if everybody else can write Rodwell off and then sing this young lads prasies, surely I can do the same?

Basically after Rodwell has played the same amount of games as this lad he was consdiered the next Pele, makes me sick how easily fans write of our young players, even Rooney looked gash at times. And yeah of course ive done the same in the past.

I was at the Villareal game and some tit behind me was screaming all sorts at Rodwell all game. I was embarrassed for him, and us as a set of fans.

Jack's had a hard time with injuries and really needs a consistent run in one position, for me. He hasn't stepped up but he equally hasn't been given a great platform to step up onto. So yeah, I agree that some of our fans -- too many -- are complete kneejerks. Be that by thinking Barkley is the scouse Messi after a few pre-season games or thinking Rodwell is never going to be good because he's 20 and hasn't usurped Osman or Arteta.

Patience is key, in regards to both players, I think. I can understand a lack of patience though when young talents are our only means of getting fresh faces into the team.

This is why he needs to move there now. I thought Rodwell come through the youth system playing DC. I'm not sold on him as a CM. He still looks like he could be a really good ball playing back.

Ive seriously lost all respect for Everton fans in general, some of the utter crap I hear getting shouted at games makes me sick to be considered in the same bracket as some of these people, they are less than pond life. I do not subscribe to the "We are all blues" theory, cos people in general are utter bells.

Im sorry if that view is considered anti-social and I am aware that there are some wonderful people in this World, but for me they are overshadowed by the utter fiflth that is allowed to infest our society.

Deep sheet right there.

Ridiculous - and unlike some other Everton websites, lets not allow GOT to help peddle such bollocks.

And Goat - as per rep comment - get a grip.
