Bumping this as I've got my route planned out for the two weeks (ish) I had planned. (Actually searched for this thread for the hostel within city walls of Dubrovnik - cheers @Fuleco )

Zagreb - 3 nights
Ljubljana - 2 nights (Yes I realize its not in Croatia)
Rijeka - 2 nights
Zadar- 2 nights
Korenica- 3 nights (Small town near Plitvice national park)
Split- 2 nights
Makarska - 1 night
Dubrovnik- 3 nights
Sarajevo- 2 nights

Anyone has anything to share about anywhere, would love some insight!

Thought about making it over to one of the islands? There's Hvar off the coast of Split, we had a great time there. Can rent out a boat and go exploring for little cost, and there's a good party scene too.

Dubrovnik is fantastic, if not a little expensive and Plitvice is one of my favourite places in Europe. Just a shame you can't get your kit off and jump in the water. We stayed at the Drunken Monkey hostel in Zadar, it's slightly out the way of the old town (20 minute walk) but great for meeting new people, excellent bar etc.

I loved Sarajevo for it's whole East meets West vibe, make sure you try some cevapi and take advantage of the cheap prices. I think we ended up getting a private ensuite room in a hostel for about £8 each.

When you're in Ljubjana do you plan on visiting Lake Bled?

You'll have a great time regardless mate, enjoy!

Won't be making it Hvar, but definitely going to get to an island from somewhere. Staying along the coasts too will be just as alright in my book.

This is only the last 2 weeks of my 13 weeks so I will definitely be taking advantage of the cheap prices as I go along.

Yes I plan on getting to Lake Bled hopefully. Just got to make sure that with the time it's viable.

How many days did you stay in Zadar mate? Going out there myself this summer.

Flew in and out of Zadar so spent 1 night at the beginning and 2 nights at the end of the trip.

Plenty of places to eat and drink and some alright beaches and the like. Particular highlight was watching the sunset from the sea organ. Id also recommend spending the couple of euros to go up the tower on the city walls get some great views up there.
