After watching us dominate India at home, beat England in England and SA in SA, and seeing for the first time a consistent accurate and deadly bowling attack with competition, and a firing top order again with competition for places, I'm going to back NZ to be winning this tournament at home. Even though we're ranked 7th in the world i just feel that they have enough to be serious contenders.

Not gonna argue with that assessment. World rankings mean nothing in a world cup. You don't have the so-called star names some other sides have, but you're capable of knocking any team over on your day. A good team that play for each other as opposed to a collection of world-class individuals. Playing at home they'll be super motivated to step out of the AB's shadow and win NZ another world cup.

But I am hoping we saffers meet you somewhere along the way. There is the small matter of the 2011 QF that needs attention.

Right now, Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson, Cory Anderson and Mitchel McGlennagen would make any world eleven one day team. Kiwis are in a fantastic run of form at the moment and building. Said it for a few months now, they're growing into a strong unit, I'd be getting on them whilst the odds are high. At home is a massive bonus.

which will mean that in a 50-50 split the aussies will all the England Australia games and the like while the Kiwi's get Botswana Vs Scotland

I prefer test cricket, the short form of the game doesn't particularly interest me but I will be going to any games at the SCG I can get tickets to.
