I remeber ireland beating pakistan about 8 years ago, all dodgy betting syndicates aside, you would think any sport worth its salt would jump at the opportunity to get these teams more involved, instead they slam the door shut and say see you in four years boys

Always looking after themselves. Quite funny seeing NZ spanking India about at the moment, one for the little guys.

they look a real unit, like you said a while back to be fair, good to see ross taylor getting in the runs, a player I like

They're young and learning fast. Jesse Ryder and Guptill getting the innings off to a bang, Williamson and Taylor bossing it through the middle, and McCullum and Cory Anderson finishing it. The bowling is fast, accurate and economic, their records in the last 12 months are outstanding. At home for most of next year's world cup, they're worth a little wager to win it, I really believe that.

I wouldn't bet against it, they bowl as a real unit, the days of praying that Bond stays fit (as superb as he was) seem long gone, though the Kiwi's have a good history of pulling together in the limited overs format, inivating instead of trailing trends like england

Ironically Romania used to be a real rugby powerhouse, strong in the scrums etc. I think it marginalises everyone and stops the game widening out. Take for example Kenya in the sevens. If we limited the sevens to just the established Rugby nations we would miss out on stories like that. The Netherlands and Ireland have been doing alright in the shorter formats just need to keep developing.

couldn't agree more mate, far too much of a short sighted greedy attitude from those in power, but such is the nature of the world

How well paid are English cricket players (not the national team, just general county level players) ? Can't be that well paid given they play to a crowd of about ten people in county/domestic cricket.

Every deal of this type is bad news. No doubt we will see these 3 playing each other more often making those fictures mundane instead of speacial while the like of the Windies scrape around for a game as another generation decides basketball is better.

Sigh
