Memorial mass told difficult days ahead for Creeslough

A community is coming to terms with the deaths of the ten people who died in a explosion at the Applegreen Service Station and apartment block in Creeslough in Co Donegal, on Friday afternoon.

Coming home from work that fateful day with all the emergency services flying past us, we just knew that whatever happened was a massive tragedy, all our hearts sank , silence in the work van after hearing on radio the reports of an explosion. All we can do now is support one another.

I cannot begin to understand the feeling of grief that has fallen on the family’s of the people directly impacted by this tragedy but I do know that the people of Donegal will provide them with all the love and support that it is possible to give.

All of Ireland and beyond are with this small community of just 400 people. Happy to see messages of support from Donaldson and Truss. This should unite all humans regardless of politics.
