Crash Course Driving Lessons

Has anyone on here ever done a crash course to pass their driving test within a week or two?

I'm looking at doing one of these courses but would like any feedback/recommendations from anyone who has either done them or know someone whos done them.

I know a few people who have mate, and none of them failed. It's almost like a guarantee you'll pass.

I was tempted back when I was learning.

Within a week or two? Mental that...do you have like 3 hour lessons every day?

To be honest, all driving lessons are for are to teach you how to pass your driving test. You only really 'learn to drive' once you pass and start figuring it out for yourself. Plus how many people get to drive the same car they learned in? Not many, so you're almost back to square one re clutch control, dashboard controls etc.

More emphasis needs to be placed on the Highway Code and the rules of the road, than the actual moving-the-car bit of learning to drive.

I done one when they first came out over a decade ago, i failed.

Not done driving lessons that way, but the motorbike equivalent (Direct Access) is really good.

I too am thinking of this, I just want my licence not months and months of lessons.

Well, i went to Blackpool for it, shared a car with some Arsenal supporter from London. We must have done 3 and half hours each driving with the instructor per day. Then had the test on the friday on the outskirts of Manchester, may have been Bolton can't remember now. Quite a few of us failed.

On the basis of the one i did, i would not recommend it. The instructor we had was a proper cock as well.

Have you got any firms they've done this with mate?

There's loads of advertising on the internet but I'd prefer to go with one that's tried and tested.
