Half a yard, half a yard is 18 inches, you honestly think he was 18 inches away. He wasn’t half a yard away, don’t convince yourself of a lie because you cannot believe the evidence of your own eyes. Under the rules as they are now stand it was a penalty. The referee and VAR decided not to give it. They decided that Everton should not be 1-0 up, that is the issue, don’t be fooled by the lie that this was the correct decision under the rules as they are now constituted, the referees are deciding the outcome of games or they are incompetent, either way football is being poorly served by those in charge.
