The Yak to Leicester was a calculated gamble.Leicester couldn't afford him,but if he helped them to promotion and all the money that would bring it would have been worthwhile.Yak did reasonably well at Leicester but not enough to make the difference.
When Leicester failed to get promotion there was no way they could afford Yak.
I wouldn't be surprised if he signed for one of the promoted club as I am not sure his idea of workrate and Big Sam's idea of workrate are compatable

Craig Mackail-smith signed for Brighton, 'supposedly' West Ham & Leicester missed out on his signature. This might open the door for the Yak to make the move as both of these have been sniffing around a while now. Also read that Sunderland were interested in the Yak. I'm half hearted if i want him to go, would hate if he signed for Sunderland and banged them in next season, don't mind if he drops a division at least he won't bang them in against us!

Apparently Sunderland didn't have a recognised striker on the pitch for ages.

And this quote was from the match report :

But Bruce's team, desperate to make amends for Saturday's derby defeat, gradually began to take control of the first half - without really looking like scoring.

I'm getting confused here, never know Bruce was a ginger Scotsman!
