Why dont we go for Craig Gordon as back up keeper. He cost £9 million a few years ago and is now free. There must be a problem I suppose but he's got to be better than Mucha. I am!

Some people may get annoyed that you've started a thread based on nothing more than your opinion on a player we should sign. We had a thread for this, but I couldn't find it. Also, we have a thread on Artur Boruc based on nothing, so I say go for it. Not a terrible shout, but he has a bad record with injuries, and it seems pointless having anyone as backup seeing as Howard hardly ever misses matches.
 

I think many of our fans expect us to have top quality depth in all positions when the truth is a club like ours simply can`t manage it financially. This isn`t a go at the OP, i`m just trying to say that Mucha a more than decent backup to have and probably the least of our worries. Having said that, i like Gordon too but he must have lost something for him to still be available now

As for Gordon, he's hardly set the world alight at Sunderland although not really been given the chance with Mignolet breaking through. He's certainly better than Mucha anyway.

I'd take him.
 
Sorry if I've annoyed anyone. Dont know the rules here. Its not even my opinion that we should sign him. Just that Boruc was mentioned and i thought Gordon would be an option. Seen Mucha a few times and i cant say I've been impressed. I get the point about him hardly playing but have you ever seen him catch the ball?

i did a Craig Gordon thread when Sunderland released him, everyone moaned he was injury prone, id prefer a injured Craig Gordon than Mucha, u need a good 2nd keeper. remember Bobby Mimms?

Don't worry mate, the only people you could of offended are the people who take these things FAR FAR too seriously.

As for your post... Yeah Gordan a good shout IMO.
