My best mate killed himself 3 weeks ago because he got himself deep into conspiracy theories and it sent him over the edge.

It all started with the Covid ones last year (plandemic, 5G etc.....) and escalated to some really deep and dark sh it
I‘d urge anyone who is going down this path to seek help.

Jesus. I'm so sorry to hear that. It's very difficult to communicate to somebody that they need help when they believe completely they are correct.

Good to hear more talk today about Covid Certificates as they say, i really hope they bring these in as it will allow a lot more of society to open up again, including more fans at the football. I was talking to one of my mates earlier who hasnt been vaccinated who mentioned he is going to go get one incase they do bring these in, it can only be a good thing if it makes more people do the right thing who can.

Makes sense to a degree but absolutely ridiculous that people who've had Covid aren't given the same pass as people who've had a vaccine.

Especially considering that the immune response resulting from having had Covid includes a Mucosal immune response, which means you are less likely to transmit an infection compared to someone who has only had a vaccine. This basically means your body starts fighting the virus as soon as it hits your mucous (when you are at your most contagious) rather than waiting until the virus has penetrated and latched onto a cell.

There is ongoing work to produce nasal spray vaccines that would produce a Mucosal immune response but they aren't available yet (this is one example of a company developing one: https://codagenix.com/vaccine-programs/covid-19/).

One of the problems here is that, apart from some un-reliable antibody tests, very little effort has been put into tests to prove you have a natural immune response against Covid, so unless you had a positive PCR or rapid-antigen test when you were infected, we don't have a reliable way to prove it.

Everyone vaccinated, this is what is achievable, it can be.done, unless we bring in covid passport rules you wont see a stadium like this for many years
