I know a couple of people who teach English that live over there, but that’s it.

They don’t want us ‘gaijin’ over there

Same as many places, need work or wife to live there.

Not hard to live there...just hard to live there without working there.

lost me? How would you get a long stay visa without being married or working there?

The only way i know is to setup an investment company -- with low rewards.
