So Birmingham at Goodison next weekend, and hopefully (beating them) passage into the fifth round. Now Donovan has 9 weeks left with us, before he goes back to Galaxy for the US Soccer League pre-season (?) Lets say we are still involved in the competition, heavens, lets say we have gotten past Sporting Lisbon and are up against Lucas Neills Galatasary might Donovan have a desire to stick the final month and a half out with us?
Moyes is clearly willing to use him, and he has done very well for settling in and having an impact in a totally new squad in a new league and still is short of full fitness, so could he decide proper competitive play is a better warm up for the US league and the World Cup? If he plays as well as he has so far then I for one hope he decides it is the right choice.
