As an Evertonian as each day goes by i am increasingly getting worried about us signing Steven Pienaar or shall i say not signing Steven Pienaar?
The papers have recently suggested that both Arsenal and Valencia are keeping a close eye on the South African whilst enquiring about a summer move. I thought Everton might have already learnt from past mistakes such as the Manuel Fernandes deal in the summer where infact the same team Valencia pounced.
I am led to believe we already have a fee agreed of around £2m, which is a bargin of the highest order considering we could have bought three Pienaar's for the price we were 'supposedly' going to pay for Jason Koumas.
We sealed the Tim Howard loan deal in mid-season to prevent this confusion come the end of the season and the thought of him leaving, so why can't we do the same for Pienaar?
It would be heartbreaking if we missed out on signing what has already proved to be an amazingly talented player.
Please Everton don't mess it up.
