Reported that Phil Dowd being investigated for money received on yesterday's game at Newcastle.

Was that the goal that was ruled out when it was clearly onside? That was the linesman's call though, surely? Was Phil Dowd the linesman?

I'm confused. More so than usual.

Not sure which one that was dude? I saw the Van Persie one and I think Newcastle had one too?

They (whoever they are) are saying that money's changed hands somewhere or other, not sure if it just down to a goal. Think they mean the whole game? I don't know..

Wowzers!

The crazy game between Newcastle and Arsenal on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League (4-4) has not finished talking.
Aujourd'hui, ce serait même au tour d'Interpol, de s'intéresser de près à cette rencontre qui a vu les Magpies rejoindre les Gunners, qui menaient pourtant 4-0 après 26 minutes de jeu.
Today, it would even turn Interpol, to look closely at this meeting that saw the Magpies to join the Gunners, who led 4-0 after 26 minutes though gambling

Un fort climat de suspicion règne autour de la partie, qui aurait fait l'objet en marge du contenu sportif d'étranges mouvements d'argent.
Strong prevailing climate of suspicion around the game, which would have been on the sidelines of sports content with strange movements of money.
Tomas Rosicky, le milieu offensif tchèque d'Arsenal entré en fin de match et à l'origine de deux buts de Newcastle, serait notamment dans le viseur d'Interpol.
Tomas Rosicky, the Czech midfielder for Arsenal came late in the game and led to two goals for Newcastle, would include in the viewfinder of Interpol.

He was involved in the penalty and free kick for the 3rd and 4th goal, looking at it. Both very dubious....but,.....really? Still, very interesting!

My brother, who can read French, reckons the piece is meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

I'd be amazed if a news agency even tried that. Not beyond the realms of possibility though. I hope so, I always liked Dowd. He takes no crap.
