Bit of a strange one but has anyone ever been or looked into it?

Was having a look at some of the beaches and it looks lovely, thinking of going April.

Anyone else been?

I like the look of it, have not been but was close to booking a week in the Rain Forest and a week on a beach resort. Volcano and everything, looked amazing.

Spent 21 days there with STA travel. Was amazing.. Trekking through villages to find the only Internet cafe to find out we've lost to chelski in the final was not.. All the Germans & Canadians had prepared a little party for when I got back. I sulked like a child

I'm in central america this summer, will only have a couple of days costa rica though as the journey home starts there

know loads of people who've been and they all love it, it is the most touristy of all of CA though, still be great like

I actually cycled the length of the country last year. The route I took was along the southern, Pacific coast. The beaches really weren't up to much so I imagine that the ones you saw were on the Caribbean coast. You might be cutting it a bit fine if you go in April because the rainy season won't be far away. Fantastic wildlife but watch out for the snakes, especially the Fer De Lance which are deadly. You may find quite a few Americans and Canadians down there as they've bought up a lot of property. Very little crime to speak of.

One more thing - Costa Rica is extortionate and a complete rip-off. In fact, one of the most expensive places I think I've ever been to.
