does anyone hate it when everyone goes back for the corner? i think atleast one should stay up so we can then break, going back to my mirallas thread i think ( might be wrong ) it was a corner and he stayed up the field and thats when he ran all the way and scored, so someone who cant head the ball good or someone small or fast should stay further up the pitch for a corner so we can then try and break and counter from that corner once its cleared
 


I get the impression Martinez has already been working on our inability to counter attack from corners or from anything. would be a big chunk of points on top of last year if we just do that
 
Think this might change with having Martinez at the helm. I remember last season on that dreadful day in the quarter final, even when Wigan were 3 goals up they had Kone stood on the half-way line when defending a corner.

common sense - when defending all the time at some stage the dam wall is going to break -
the best way to beat a stronger side is on the counter when they are over confident - see FA CUP final -
do it with speed and numbers -
one win and two losses is the same as three draws - so attack seems to be the better way of defense
