Big island mate, a lot depends on the resort you're looking at.
We've been twice, once recently after the kids have grown up and once beards ago when we just got flights and travelled round Corfu and Paxos. Our kids were about 8 and 10 back then ?

Busy, nice location ( scenery ) and a step up from Roda round the corner.
Depends what you're looking for and what'll keep your kids happy.

We stayed in Sidari a few days ( which the kids loved ), St Georges / Agios Georgios North ( which was pretty boss, but not so much going on for the kids ) , Glyfada ( sp ? ) which has a fantastic beach and then had a couple of days in Corfu Town ( worth a visit and an overnight stop ) before pushing off to Paxos.

We went to St Georges South last year, which has a couple of great beaches but I wouldn't recommend it for a family holiday. It's a bit quiet and isolated. Avoid Kavos like, except to remind yourself that you're no longer young.

Corfu's got loads of flights so it's one of the cheaper Greek Islands to get to.

Corfu's really nice, been a few times with the fam, but not with kids. Corfu town is cool, and if you can get on one of the boat trips down to Paxos and Anti Paxos that's definetely worth doing. We do sailing holidays in the Ionian islands, and there's a place called Emerald Bay on the NW corner of Anti-Paxos, which is always the highlight for us. Beautiful clear blue water down to sandy sea bed, you can see right to the bottom like you're in the pool. There's also loads of cool little towns on the way up and down the coast which are all really picturesque, some of which the boat trip stops at.
I stayed in a hotel resort in Benitses (I think) several years ago. Had decent food, clean simple rooms, a private beach, and a nice infinity(?) pool overlooking the hill down to the sea. Might be decent with kids. It's about 15k south of Corfu I think.
