Estudiantes (ARG) v Cruzeiro (BRZ)

One for the night owls on this side of the Atlantic - early AM start Thursday. Ramires of Cruzeiro just signed for Benfica and this is his last game; our old friend Veron is looking to win it with Estudiantes.

Why cant CH5 do something useful and televise this tournament from the QF stage onward (or show us the highlights) instead of giving us Europa League qualifying games between Bangor City and Transylvania FC?

Mind you, scratch that. Colin Murray strangling Spanish and Portuguese names doesn't sound too good. :o
 

I watched a LOT of the 1st stages. But I beat my gambling addiction. So thanks Dave, thanks a lot. Now im gonna have to stick a bet on this.

I will watch the game, bet365 have live streams.

Oh and both teams will win at Home. They are both amazing at Home and awful Away.

Oops, sorry mate. Didn't want to encourage an addiction. :P

I haven't watched this tournament since the days when Ch4 had the semis and final on in the dead of the morning a few years ago (last one I watched was when Diego was with Santos and they lost the final against Boca).

It's a pity no satellite or terrestrial tv over here is covering it. I can stand about 45 minutes of net footy before jibbing it. Unbelievable neglect when you think of the enormity of the tournament.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JOHNSON LAD?
 

Got the last half hour of this last night and it was brilliant viewing. Some atmosphere in the stadium, looking forward to 2nd leg.

Olimpia missed loads of chances to make it 2-0, and the legend Jo nearly made them pay but for a great save. Stupid tackle and 2nd yellow for a Mineiro player then in the 90th minute meaning he'l miss the 2nd leg, and it got worse for them, conceding a goal from a free kick with last kick of the game, a defender tried getting back on the line as the player took it, i'm convinced it would have been saved but all he ended up doing was get in keepers way.

Sets the second leg up well.
 
Anyone know is the 2nd leg being televised, cant see it on the listings, pity if its not after the brilliant first leg.
