As far as roles are concerned more than exact positions, we could include people like Brian McCair at Utd and Dirk Kuyt at the rs. Started life as prolific goal scorers at Celtic and Feyenoord. Couldn't maintain that level in the English top flight and became better known for doing the dirty work for the main goal scorers.
