Goodisonnark

A few blues are trying to start a standing/singing section.

The lower street end has become worse an worse for atmosphere, very little spontaneous singing has been started there this year and the fact that you can't see the whole pitch on the back row when stood up means it's not really an option for standing up.

The Park end PE7 is the block closest to the bullens Road, which is probably the best choice. There is already a lot of singers in this area and with a set of fans leading the way it could become a lot better. There should be around 10-20 empty seats in the very corner. Which isnt much but is a start and could grow pretty quick.

The other main option is the upper gwyladys corner next to the bullens road. There is plenty of empty seats There. However it would take plenty of fans to go up there to make any real difference.

Whichever one it will probably take several seasons to get it going properly but, it's important to have a go because things are getting worse and worse.

Sometime next week we will be able to see using eticketing how many spaces are available in each area. And then depending on the level of interest we can pick one collectively.

Great idea, would love to join in but can only make it once or twice a season. Let us know how it develops. Let's make Goodison a place to be feared! Like the atmosphere on Saturday;)

Would like to see continental-style enthusiasm in the Gwladys Street End.

Good on you for trying, I think it can only succeed through leading by example.

I wonder if we had a stadium with rapid access rail transit whether your task would be easier?

27 rapid transit platforms and anything is possible. Messi would probably play for us, if only he could get on a train to Goodison Park.

How about the corner of Lower Gwladys Street, Bullens side? Cheapest price, better views at the back than at the back of the rest of the Lower Gwladys Street. This season there were about 30-40 free seats in a block on the last 4 or 5 rows.

In a way the Gwladys Street and the Bullens can sweep the singing around like one stand unlike anywhere else in Goodison so it's in the heart of that so it may be the best place to get the Bullens and Gwladys Street singing as one?

It's the place the Boys Pen used to be, so had decades of tradition for singing there as well.

Yes, it's possible that we could have a 'choir' area, with replacement choristers rapidly accessing by rail the area while the old ones with sore throats from all the singing could be rapidly transited out by rail.

@ big neville southall - It's defeinately a possibility, next week eticketing will show where the empty seats are so well be able to Decide whereto go to.

If you're interested do you want me to keep you up to date with what well be doing?

Yeah but I'm next door in the Lower Bullens and usually I get to snooze there..

TBF my lad and I are perfectly happy to get a few going around us..

Good luck with it mate, but for me it's something a bit small time, the whole point of a good atmosphere is that it is spontaneous and not manufactured. As i say good luck but not for me
