Fabulous game today ladies, and thanks for making me spill tea all over myself in my celebratory lunge from chair (morosely drinking the morning tea until WAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I didn't care.

Plus, thanks to the crowd for booing the Brazilian team.

I want that cup final and another star above the crest. Can't wait for Wednesday.

(P.S. There should be consistent treatment of the stars above crests. Does only Brazil wear their men's team's stars?)

They overcame a very poorly officiated match, where most of the decisions went against them.

I think it speaks to the level of officiating that Hope Solo was given a yellow card for coming off her line too quickly on the penalty during the game(which FIFA confirmed, and is absolute crap because she didn't come off her line) and the Brazilian keeper came off her line on all five penalties and didn't get a caution.

This Brazilian set up is trash. And they have no one to blame but themselves, once they got the penalty to tie the match, they stopped attacking. There were acres of space throughout their defense, even when Buehler was sent off. Their organization was comical and really belies their talent.

Yeah, other than "the Yanks" we don't really have a nickname. So USMNT and USWNT it is... Although something around our never say die attitude is probably apt at this point for both teams.

Our woman's squad is pretty bad ass. Remember when Edwardo got his leg broke and the entire wussy Arse team cried. That same weekend a USWNT player had her leg shattered by a bad tackle. Showed no emotion, didn't cry and didn't go off on a stretcher either.
