Hello fellow Evertonians..

I'm at a loss with my video card. She is an Nvidea Geforce GT 220 ..

The damn card keeps resetting itself and than recovering..
The event causes my screen to reset and go black for a couple seconds before recovering..
I have done all I can think of.. uninstall/ reinstall the drivers, ran diagnostics. All turns out well, minus the fact..

Any Ideas?

Maybe the card is kaput no?

Possibly on it's last leg.. Computer is not old at all and if I can recall it's done this since day one.. Happening way more frequent now though.

All test say Go.. I'm just at a loss..

try and use an earlier signed driver, if you can - from the vendor, not from Microsoft.

Also, this sounds like a duff cable? is it vga, hdmi? whut whut? broken pins etc? dust in the slot ( hur hur )

Funny. just got a customary call back from Dell..

I told them the issued was not resolved, and they are sending me a new card.. Nice.

Hope that fixes the issue.

My intial thought is the card is totally screwed, I know that Nvdia will often replace faulty cards.

So hopefully this should fix any issues.

That's the beauty mate, you don't need to learn, it's that easy.

It's ok mate, most people can't afford quality, and they have to put up with Dell. I wish I could afford one at the moment but I can't. But I will do.

My sister has gone through 4 pc laptops in the same amount of time as I have with one iMac, which is still going stronger than ever.

Leopard is a doddle mate.

Easiest damn OS in the world. Its meant for us non-techies.

The computers are damn expensive mind.

minus the card issue, This computer has been great.. I hear the new iPad or whatever it is, is dreadful.
