At last we seem to be getting some genuine competition for places.

Hibbo and Neville are slugging it out at right back.
Moyes has a nice problem choosing between Jags and Johnny.
Gueye can now hopefully put some pressure on Drenthe.
Once Rodwell regains fitness he will push Gibson for a starting place.

Fingers crossed that next season Barkley pushes Coleman on the right of midfield, Vellios/Vic/Straq hustle for the right to deputise for Jelavic and Ossie challenges Cahill for the right to play in the hole. We're still going to need a clear out of the goalkeeping department and to bring in some cover for Baines though.

Superb. Rodwell wont push Gibbo for a place though. Much more balanced with Gibbo, Rodwell gets in Fellis way something Gibbo doesnt do. Wheres the Prizes FFS ?

If we survive the transfer window wake up before December and Jelly stays healthy next year we have the makings of a very good side next year.

Its good to have competition for places.

For example next time one of our defenders gets injured and his replacement comes in and plays brilliantly that defender will have to fight to get his place back and won't just walk back in to the team as soon as fit.
