Communications Ombudsman - anyone dealt with them?

I've gone to ombudsman for both communications and energy and whilst i did get a better offer than originally offered by the offending companies it wasn't by much and the Ombudsman basically ignored all the evidence I provided to them. I'd say do it just to annoy EE and I think if they get so many complaints referred to the Ombudsman it counts against them for future claimants (well something like that).
Interesting, ta.

I wrote several letters to talk talk demanding a refund after they double charged me. All I got were standard letters (clearly an email printed out) requesting my security details before they could continue.

I wrote a few letters to the ceo demanding an explanation and was ignored, instead receiving the same letter back requesting security info - to the account holders address. I refuse to supply since this was written correspondence.

In the end I used the of ofcom route and they found in my favour after I requested my £12 refund and £75 - which was my charge to Talk Talk for my time in having to write the letters. I probably could have reasonably asked for more.

I would rather have no Internet than ever use talk talk again. Absolute shower.

I just present the facts then suggest that their actions are unreasonable or illogical or downright daft. I have politely questioned how some ceos can justify their enorous salaries while presiding over an inefficient and incompetent set of employees when really it is the ceo's job to ensure that things are run well. On occasion I return their replies marked and corrected in red ink while bemoaning how a teachers salary is but a fraction of the clown who could make so many mistakes in a letter (obviously I'd look an idiot if I tried writing such a letter with the predictive text of this phone)

I do enjoy a good letter. I don't enjoy getting jnto the position where I have to take the cap off my quill and write it, but once I start I really like to rip into them.

I've invoiced my bank a few times when I've had to write a letter because if their error (£25 per letter - being the charge they promise to charge us if they write because of an overdraft) and they've paid up.
