The 800m last night was great and the swimming and gymnastics have been outstanding.

It's been a fantastic games and the way they've combined it with the para events has been class.

Mate, if Chris Hoy or Victoria Pendleton were still competing I would have taken the week off and gone to watch in person. The atmosphere in the velodrome would be unreal.

I was talking to my friend in Canada and mentioned the games, she had no idea what I was on about. She couldn't find anything on any tv channel either.

Does anyone else care about them or is it just the Brits, and even that's pushing it?

Glad it's ( more or less ) all over to be honest, I'd become a Commonwealth addict and might now get out of the house a bit and get some work done as well.
