Seems a shame there isn't a place for the man somewhere at Goodison. He did wonders with the youth team in years gone by, True Blue and treated unfairly by the club on a couple of occasions in my opinion.

I have read one of them, albeit a while back... and I cant remember anything that put me off him in it.

Although I must admit, now i'm scratching my head wondering what your cryptic comments were suggesting - i'll have to dig the book out again!

Anyway, always interesting to keep an eye on our old boys. There was one of those e-petitions floating round a while back calling for him to get on the honours list for "services to Everton football club" and I was all for that too.

No he hadn't done much wrong and neither had Everton, it just hadn't worked out for him. But there were times when the Blues had rescued him from the doldrums.

Well its a pretty good book. Well the start of it is, his playing career. Then the latter half is pretty much a depressing review of our crap we were in the 90's. The Rooney part was good too.

I was lucky to get a signed copy off the shelf too.

I take it that he thought we were really shitty throughout the 90's then?

What does he say about his time as manager?

90's?

cottee, royle, ferguson.

bit thin that, some great memories, glad we didnt go the way of sheff weds and forrest.

Yep, to say we went close to the wire is an understatement. Looking back I'm amazed we're still in the premiership.

Someone up there likes us lads.(y)
