Coleman : Do we overrate him ?

He was a snip at 60k and been one of our key players over the last 4 seasons. My question is do we overrate him?
Could we do better?

Fair question.

I think he's good, but not as good as Baines. You can always do better, but is it a priority when we have limited funds ?

I'd say not.

He is class just suffering with the tactics and system like the rest of the defence.
Do you not rate him?

Probably a bit overrated but still one of the best RBs in the league. Needs to get out and block crosses better though same with whoever plays LB

I think he's massively improved his defending. Our defensive frailties are in the middle of the defense.

If he can improve his crossing, he'll be a complete player.

I still think he's one of the better right backs in the league.

Great player. In recent games, like Palace, his defending has been great.

He is the worst crosser of a football I have ever seen though.

Cracking player and the only defender under Martinez to improve for us.

I wouldn't swap him for any other rightback but I'd like to see him getting a bit more support at times.

I think the injury hasn't helped him. He'll be back to his best this year I reckon. If him and Leighton can stay fit, and Jags comes back to play with Stones I think you'll see a different team.

I would like to see him tackle the ball more, he seems to back of his man.
@ijjysmith is correct in having competition for him. Maybe a more taller defensive fullback

A good player however I think we play perhaps too much to his strengths if that makes sense by the way we set ourselves up, which is detrimental to the overall defensive picture.
