Gingerbread / caramel / praline...what the heck is wrong with good old coffee-flavour?

Anyone here had kopi luwak?

yeah I only have one now and then, but they are extortionate so thought I'd just make my own when I want

Oh definitely. I rarely have them but if I'm paying £3 for a coffee I want something a little different!

See above! Nothing wrong with normal coffee.

My mate used to work in Costa so I could get free drinks or half price (depending on which manager was working) all the time, so I tried out most of the different girly flavours.

what's kopi luwak mate ??? is it indonesian ??

palm civet sh!t coffee. quite right, from indo/malaysia.

civet (spotted cat-thing) eats coffee berries, digests bitter outer bits, deposits fresh beans on forest floor, where some lucky chap finds them, roasts them and sells them. Apparently the best but pretty expensive.

Was in that movie The Bucket List - surprised you haven't heard of it. Though you prob have, drink 10 cups a day and are just taking the piss - never know with you lot

Gonna get beer in the coffee thread.

Solid stuff. Also very closely related to my favorite coffee.

If anybody is familiar with Alterra, that stuff is originally from Milwaukee. Mars owns the brand now though, but I believe they've kept it pretty high quality. The old Alterra coffee shops in the Upper Midwest are now called Colectivo. Confusing stuff.

Anyway, my favorite coffee is the blend that Alterra (now Colectivo) makes specially for Fuel Cafe, which is an awesome cafe pretty close to me. They sell bags of it onsite for home brewing, but I don't think you can buy it anywhere else.

The coffee stout is made by Lakefront Brewery, which is the 3rd largest brewery in Wisconsin (behind Miller and New Glarus)

I've honestly not heard of it mate, but thought the name sounded from that part of the world

I've tried a few different types in a few weird places, never tried that though, probably would like

Can't be much worse than the cambodian stuff
