so the new game is going to be called ghosts and its looking like it going to have a new engine this time!!! so it could be a massive overhaul of the game!!

Call Of Duty: Ghosts has now been all but confirmed as this year's Activision shooter, with the official site proclaiming that "the ghosts are real." Infinity Ward have also confirmed their involvement with a telling tweet, which would be more of a surprise if we didn't already know what the box art looks like. Current rumours suggest that Ghosts will use a brand new engine (about time too, really), and somewhat obviously focus on fan-favourite character Ghost.

It's high time for a reveal, and exactly a year has passed since Black Ops 2 was officially announced at the NBA playoffs. It's possible that Activision will follow suit with a commercial this afternoon, though we'll have to wait and see.

UPDATE: Amazon US have slung up a pre-order page (with a placeholder release date, presumably), while a fairly legit-looking Facebook page has gone live.

Same here mate, MW2 was the most addicting game I've ever played. They ruined it with MW3 though, overpowered guns and hackers put me right off it.

Same. I think I racked up about 12 days online time on that game. I was deadly with a Spas-12 shotgun.

Haha, ACR and the UMP45 were the weapons I mostly used, I was deadly with the UMP45 silencer though.
