Im basically trying to get info..... i passed my uefa c license a few months back and am considering the B license this year..... does anybody else coach and what are the prospects in this country for B and A qualified coaches.... I obviously know you can't manage at the top level in the wesh system without an A liscence but apparently you can earn well in America with a B ...... coaches will know what i speak of lol.

I'm swerving my second year of A levels to do a BTEC in sport which will hopefully lead to me doing some kind of sports science/coaching at uni because I reckon the coaching opportunities in America will be massive in about ten years considering the growth of the sport. Doing my first coaching level this summer as well. Any good d'you reckon? Big risk, I know.

My Dad's got like the highest level you can have before professional coaching - UEFA C I dunno? But hasn't got a coaching job because you've got to be doing it from a very young age and have experience.

Been helping a lad with his uefa B. The higher the badge the higher the prospects I'm guessing. Don't you have to pay quite abit for the final assessments?

Are you not allowed to do a sport btec as an a level no? Is that. Welsh thing? Wjec or whatever?

I'd say go for it. Anything to go on a cv is a good thing

I have the uefa c now, the B will take approx 12 months , the A is the boss one before you do the pro. I first passed them when I was only 16 as I was a yts trainee in a sport centre, long story short but I was assistant to Ossian Roberts who is now Chris colemans top coach and the director of coaching at the welsh fa..........hard work and a bit of knowledge of the game is all you need if your willing to learn

I know a few lids who've done it and nothing really came of it mate.

The America thing is good in principle but that's been getting said for beards and it doesn't pay well if you're a Brit doing it ffs.

That's likely, but if I end up coaching for 'soccer schools' in LA or somewhere hot then sweet.

I'm just doing it because I enjoy it really, chances are if I carried on with these A levels and did one of them subjects at Uni I'd end up dropping out at some point.

Also my cousin did a sports coaching degree and is now a primary school teacher because of it so it's not like it has to be coaching.

Teach me Chico. Guide me.

Fair enough lid, follow your dream.

If you do what you love then you'll never work another day for the rest of your life. Get after it man.
That's the idea.

My mum's on shyte money doing a job she loves and my dad's on wedge doing one he hates. I know there's a family involved and that, but you can tell who's happier.

All for that mate. Is right. Don't let any [Poor language removed] (for example me) put you off chasing your dream either lid, because plenty will.

Plus you'll get to finger loads of boss birds along the way. Just throwing that out there.

Hahaha, fingering is most important.

Well I don't want to work in an office or something boring so the plan is either do something I enjoy in coaching or fall flat on my face and run a piss dungeon. Which I might find fun actually.
