Clubs selling Home grown talent

Its too early for really good analogies, I think. And I think his hard work and professionalism are making him a better footballer technically because he's willing to put the hours in.

I don't ever see him as a player capable of stamping his authority on games at the top level though.

Henderson is just a headless chicken he will run all day but has no stand out feature. Rodwell had the ability to become top drawer but played in a team where his strengths weren't utilised. His move to City was the wrong move as he was never gonna get time and ultimately injuries didn't help. I hope he rediscovers himself at Sunderland as he could yet do a job in an England shirt.

Really dumb article in almost every way. What's the value in knowing how income a team generates by selling players without comparing this to other streams of income? Why look at only 3 years of data? Where's the comparison of the benefits of selling players to keeping them in your own squad?

Not sure this has any more value than research that suggests libraries have more books than pizza shops, or that barbers provide more haircuts than mechanics.

You missed the key question then. After looking at the revenue generated by the clubs above us, should we be looking to sell more youth (if surplus) to help fund other avenues in the business model (Stadium, Debt etc)?
