So, if I continue to have NSNO on the wristbands of my goalie gloves Im being a very naughty boy!?
As "nil satis nisi optimum" is incorporated within the logo - Everton have trademarked that phrase.
Also - by doing this any Sports/football merchandise/computer game etc goods using the name "Everton" and "nil satis nisi optimum" without licence from the club are infringing the trademark and could be forced to pay substantial damages or worse (jail).
However, and I've said this before - this does not stop forum's like this existing because the
Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 explicitly mentions - "criticism" and "news reporting" as being FAIR USE.
So as long as we don't put anything on here - without links to original sources (LCAB, alan ball et al)
and not in entirety
The club and no one else can stop any one on this forum in those instances participating on this forum. Trademarks or not.
