Beside we've just witnessed a victory against a determined Bolton side, with contributions from Jags, Pienaar, Baines, Gravesen and Yakubu.

Sounds good with me. The window is closed anyway, and there is no point talking over what might have been. We've made a very good summer, so lets look ahead instead of looking in the mirror to see what we might have missed.

Wow guys, just finished watching the replay of the game and what an awesome display of determination from the guys. I must say that I was very impressed with the new recruits. This team looks a whole lot classier and tougher with that never say die attitude. Anyway, Grav looks as if he will fill the void in the middle as he calmed the midfield down. Looking forward to the rest of the season...PS Howard was awesome in goal and my man of the match "Lescot" is just a solid rock in defence. Dont know how they can overlook a guy like that for the Eng squad!

its easy.

to play for england you have to be

a) a celebrity with one eye on lucrative endorsments, book ties ins and money making schemes rather than playing for the shirt.

b) any english player that happens to occasionally play for one of the top four teams

c) have no commitment and show a lack of desire, i.e the consummate modern professional.

d) totally out of form

e) be chosen on the back of a dubious media campaign from one of the tabloids (see Beckham, Campbell and Smith etc.)

Used to be pissed of by this, but honestly from the bottom of my heart, I hope no everton player ever puts that england shirt on again.

Until there is an england manager with a spine to stand up to the media, fans, FA, celebrity players and corporate malevolence and all the other [Poor language removed] associated with the national team, why should we have a player with the class of Lescott dirty himself in such mediocrity?

Learn from Moyes, he doesn't suffer fools. (especially the media)
