In October of last year, Fulham forums were full of people screaming that Dempsey was complete ****e and that anybody who thought otherwise was a stupid Yankee who should go back to watching eggball.

It's crazy how little respect you can get for leading your team (or sharing the lead) for goalscoring for 4 years under 4 different coaches who treat you like a sub for the first quarter of a season.

He seems to do the job for Fulham well a good players. HAving said that whenever I have seen him play (admits not often) he seems a snidey player, sneaky dirty.

He's a chippy player. He's gotten in the faces of guys like Micah Richards and other much bigger players. He's also known to keep his elbows up. I'm not saying these things as a negative, they're what keep him on the pitch.
