As with Atkinson reffing the Spurs game: good news. That's a penalty nailed on for Everton.

This is how it works folks. It's just a pity neither of them will get to ref another Derby again.

Mr Mark Clattenburg from Tyne and Wear makes his first Everton game since 20th October 2007. He will be assisted by Mr S Beck and Mr S Child. The 4th official is Mr Lee Mason. The match delegate is Mr P Henson and the match will be assessed by Mr R Gifford. Me Clattenburg to date has officiated 18 games issuing 61 yellow and 5 red cards.

Pity it's not at Goodison. No way would we lose, an angry Goodison is awesome

Great. I'm suprised they have given him a game to ref us. But if they were ever going to it was always going to be a game where we were playing away.

I came in to say that.

He will be scared ****less of making a howler so will end up being biased the other way, giving us the advantage.

I don't think that egomaniac would give a ****, personally.

Wasn't Moyes rumoured to have threatened to go public with some quite serious allegations about Clattenburg if he ever refereed us again?

Big time. And it'll never be a peno in a million years. Payback from him.

Or hell be a massive weapon again.

It should prove vital in this one, whereas Atkinson reffing us against Spurs is less likely to be so (we'll have to work hard + play well + get fortuitous decisions to win at WHL). The Villa game pits two very ordinary teams against each other and a decision our way would be likely to get us the points, IMO.

This game will get the greatest scrutiny ever. With all the flak flying overs refs someone has had a brainstorm here. I suddenly feel much better abut our prospects. Hope the travelling fans give him what for
