How many of the last successful Everton team in 95 would get into the Everton side of today?
Neville Southall: Although he was right at the end of his career
Dave Watson
Anders Limpar

Everton
GK 1 Neville Southall
RB 2 Matt Jackson
CB 5 Dave Watson (c)
CB 26 David Unsworth
LB 6 Gary Ablett
RM 17 Anders Limpar

69'
CM 18 Joe Parkinson
CM 10 Barry Horne
LM 3 Andy Hinchcliffe
SS 8 Graham Stuart
CF 15 Paul Rideout

For me none of the rest wouldn't get anywhere near this current Everton team.

Watson and Unsworth was a cracking pairing in the centre.

Limpar was a fave of mine, as was Parkinson. Add Stuart, Rideout and Amo to the list too.

Simply put: most of them. They are winners. This lot are by and large bottlers. I know which team would beat which in a match, that's for sure. That 95 team would frighten to death the bed wetters of this team apart from Gueye, Williams and Coleman.

That team would kick lumps out of the present team, but skill wise they are nowhere near the present team.

Limpar is the only player entertainment wise in either team.

The dogs of war was only partially true. That side could also play it about. As a team they win hands down.

Limpar probably would get a game, Parkinson would definitely play and I imagine Andy Hincliffe would be a starter wide left.

To be honest mate, Southall at 40 was probably still better than what we have now, and at the level he was in 1995 would certainly be a shoe in today. Joe Parkinson would have become an iconic figure for us only for an injury that destroyed his career, Joe alongside any of our current midfielders would improve that midfield 100% in my opinion.

As for the rest, most of them went on to win the FA cup for us, a feat many of the current side tried and bottled more than once, so on that basis, most of them would deserve their place in our current team. Plus they would have buried Klopps lot in the next Derby!

Parkinson walks into the team

Southall
Watson
Limpar
Parkinson

Then rideout and Stuart would be in and around the side . So would the unsworth of 94-97
