So how do you feel about a third party handing out your personal information over the internet? Any journalists got an opinion?

I'm against it, despite it, well, favouring me, as I have zero to hide.

I think it's too much of an invasion of privacy. The better option would be to have full disclosure available upon attempting to register a marriage rather than an open invitation for anyone to view anyone elses past.

This is another step towards 'big brother' and again an oppression against those who may have made one single mistake in their life.

Everyone makes a mistake in their life but if your details are going to be available to the general public for say a brawl in the street at the age of 15 inwhich you where convicted....do you think that is right.

Totally against it. For habitual violent offenders yes, for the odd conviction no!!!!!

Goes a step beyond that, who is handing the info out. And to who? Will it only be convictions made 'public' or will accusations be on the cards as well? Child maintenance payments? Credit defaults? Fraud? Cases of mistaken identity? I see this choice of action making more problems than it solves. Sadly it has taken a liar on facebook to prompt such action, but her that was murdered could have met that guy or a similar maniac at a speed dating event, or a bar, or a church social.
