Player Valuation: £225k
I reckon if Arteta goes for 10M there will be serious trouble for Kenwright. Its nothing short of an absolute disgrace. He would be unwelcome at Goodison to put it mildly. 10M for a world class player in a market were Modric is 40M. Well done Ken. And Artetas thanks for all those millions he got was to 'ask to leave' which gave Arsenal the advantage, twaatt!

And now another Andy Hunter update: "Arteta has resurrected his transfer single-handedly, to the surprise of both Everton and Arsenal," he writes. "Everton's attempt to hold out for more than £10m weakened as a result."

If Arteta had stayed, guaranteed that every time he puts in a below par performance we'd hear fans moaning, why didn't we take the cash when we had the chance ? Yes we would all have liked to fleece Arsenal for a few mill more, but how much do you think Arteta would be worth in a couple of years time if he stayed ?

If it happens... Arteta.

As long as people leave MOYES alone, I'm going to sit on my hands or maybe book a holiday whilst we have an Ides of March moment in September in the EFC board room.

Moyes is numero uno.

Kenwright is merely occupying a position as far as I'm concerned.

can any1 blame him for leaving we are a selling club with a [Poor language removed] of a chairman and a manager whos a shi.house.

I'm going to the meeting with BU on Saturday.

I don't want to. I feel like a saddo. I want to spend my spare time doing other stuff like nursing a hangover. But this is the closest I can remember feeling like I did in 1998 when Ferguson left. Wehn Ferguson left in 1998 we had gambled with Materazzi, Decourt, Collins etc. Its over 2 years since we spent a meaningful transfer fee.

We won't see that £10 million in January. I just hope that others who have previously vented their concerns attend the meeting (if you can)

^^ This.

I#m not sure what I'm more worried/depressed about - our transfer deficit (in terms of bodies in/out) today, or the fact that Mr Negative will be in charge of an even smaller and less creative squad.

How Moyes evades substantial criticism is beyond me.

We're dead in the water, a financial basket case, being eaten by the bigger fish. Really hope that Kenwright and the silent investors go soon, so we can start again.
