Has anybody else been following these?

A newly formed Semi-pro club.

I've enjoyed following a semi-pro Northern Irish club in the past when spending a lot of time their and always been interested in doing it here, (when Everton aren't playing of course) but I suppose following a wool club like Marine or Prescot Cables didn't appeal to me.

I went to the 1st ever home game on Sat, nice relaxed atmosphere, got to order pints of German beer in the bar and take it out and be able to watch their game whilst drinking it. Aligned to neither us or the filth btw.

They wanted to play their first season at the Walton Park stadium but Everton blagging they wanted to build a stadium there buggered that up for them so they're playing currently at Bootle Fc stadium until they find a ground of there own inside the city boundaries.

I love non league football but is there need for yet another Merseyside club? South Liverpool were a great club that folded. Is there the support for them that can keep them going? They need an original name. Many blues may be put off by the name as well.
Good luck to them

I agree the name is a bit gash.

I think their aim is to give people of Liverpool that can't afford to watch Everton or the RS a club they can get behind and be apart, and people that like you love grassroots football.

Every other Merseyside non league team is synonymous with the area they play in or AFC that are firmly aligned to the RS. Would someone from Toxteth get behind Marine or someone from Old Swan get behind Prescot Cables?

COLFC took 150 fans to an away friendly in Wales the weekend before last and it was people from all over the city. That's more than what other Merseyside non league teams get for home games with the exception of Tranmere and Southport.

what northern irish club did you follow ??

I disagree. Surely you cannot be saying that Liverpool should only refer to Liverpool FC?

The more it is used to refer to other aspects of the city the better..........

How about a name like Dynamo Walton or North Liverpool Corinthians? Just a thought
Like the idea of a purple kit not many play in that colour.
